Immediately notify the assignor and honestly explain why you can’t be at your assignment. Generally, if an assignment is published on Sunday, the assignor must be notified no later than Monday that there is a problem. Otherwise, notify the assignor as soon as the problem arises. Failing to check your Arbiter schedule daily is not a valid excuse. If you can, find a replacement and let the assignor know so he can approve the switch and make the necessary changes in Arbiter.

All turned back assignments are tracked and counted. Too many turn backs result in being removed from the available referee list. Please keep your Arbiter calendar up-to-date at all times during the season.
