The Performance Cup tournament is sponsored by the FC Nova club (FC Nova). The tournament is held annually around the first weekend of May at the FC Nova soccer complex in Meridian and other nearby locations. This is one of the largest and most highly competitive tournaments in Idaho each year. Performance Cup draws teams from Idaho and surrounding states including California, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington and Wyoming.
Performance Cup is a competitive club tournament. However, the environment is such that it allows referees the opportunity to referee at their preferred level and number of games. We try to honor all comfort level requests However, Performance Cup also allows those referees who wish to stretch themselves to the next level the opportunity to do so. One of the benefits of this tournament is the ability for referees to receive informal evaluations from certified USSF assessors. This type of feedback is invaluable for referee growth. These evaluations are offered free of charge to referees.
Current USSF certified referees from outside of Idaho are also very welcome at the Performance Cup. The only requirement other than current USSF registration and completing the tournament referee registration form is that you have your state SRA or SYRA confirm your good standing and that you have passed a criminal background check within the last two years. If you have any questions about this requirement, please ask.
All referees should also note the requirement for an ArbiterPay account. Performance Cup referees are paid exclusively through ArbiterPay. Instructions for setting up an ArbiterPay account can be found in the support section of Arbiter Sports.
If you have any questions about working as a referee at the Performance Cup tournament, please send an email to the assignor, Albert Padley at email@example.com.
