Blaze and Wave Showdown

The Blaze and Wave Showdown tournament is sponsored by the Surf and Inferno soccer clubs. The tournament is held annually around the second week of March at Brothers Park in Caldwell. This tournament is open to teams in the U9 to U19 age groups.

The Blaze and Wave Showdown tournament is a competitive club tournament. However, the environment of a season-opening tournament allows referees the opportunity to referee at their preferred level and number of games. It also allows those referees who wish to stretch themselves the opportunity to do so.

Current USSF certified referees from outside of Idaho are also very welcome at the Blaze and Wave Showdown.

The 2025 Blaze and Wave Showdown Tournament will be held March 14-16, 2025 at Brothers Park in Caldwell. If you would like to referee in this tournament, please complete each step in this form. We will do our best to assign you games based on your experience and availability. We will also work around your playing schedule.

Referee Pay

The Blaze and Wave Showdown will pay referees by check shortly after the conclusion of the tournament. Referees will need to provide a completed W-9 to the tournament in order to paid.
