The Star Fall Showcase tournament is sponsored by the FC Nova club (FC Nova). The tournament is held annually around the first and/or second week of November at the FC Nova soccer complex in Meridian and other locations. Since high school soccer wraps up in October, this tournament is open to teams in the U10 to U19 age groups. The Star Fall Showcase draws teams from Idaho and surrounding states including Montana, Nevada, Utah and Washington.
The Star Fall Showcase tournament is a competitive club tournament. However, the environment of a season ending tournament allows referees the opportunity to referee at their preferred level and number of games. It also allows those referees who wish to stretch themselves the opportunity to do so. One of the benefits of this tournament is the ability for referees to receive informal evaluations from certified USSF assessors. This type of feedback is invaluable for referee growth. These evaluations are offered free of charge to referees.
Current USSF certified referees from outside of Idaho are also very welcome at the Star Fall Showcase. The only requirements other than current USSF registration and completing the tournament referee registration form is that you have your state SRA or SYRA confirm your good standing and that you have passed a criminal background check within the last two years. If you have any questions about this requirement, please ask.
All referees should also note the requirement for an ArbiterPay account. Star Fall Showcase referees are paid exclusively through ArbiterPay. Instructions for setting up an ArbiterPay account can be found in the support section of Arbiter Sports.
If you have any questions about working as a referee at the Star Fall Showcase tournament, please send an email to the assignor, Albert Padley at email@example.com.
