The BTT Memorial Day Classico tournament is sponsored by the Boise Timbers Thorns club (BTT). The tournament is held annually over Memorial Day weekend at the BTT soccer complex in Meridian and other nearby locations in Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell. This is one of the largest and most highly competitive tournaments in Idaho each year. BTT Memorial Day Classico draws teams from Idaho and surrounding states including California, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
BTT Memorial Day Classico is a competitive club tournament. However, the environment is such that it allows referees the opportunity to referee at their preferred level and number of games. We try to honor all comfort level requests as long as we have enough referees. BTT Memorial Day Classico also allows those referees who wish to stretch themselves to the next level the opportunity to do so.
Current USSF certified referees from outside of Idaho are also very welcome at the BTT Memorial Day Classico
All referees should also note the requirement for an ArbiterPay account. BTT Memorial Day Classico referees are paid exclusively through ArbiterPay. Instructions for setting up an ArbiterPay account can be found on this support page of https://arbitersports.force.com/officials/s/article/How-Do-I-Register-For-An-ArbiterPay-Account.
If you have any questions about working as a referee at the BTT Memorial Day Classico tournament, please send an email to the assignor, Albert Padley at email@example.com.
The 2023 BTT Memorial Day Classico will be held May 26 - 29, 2022 at the BTT Complex and other fields in Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell. If you would like to referee in this tournament, please complete each step in this form. We will do our best to assign you games based on your experience and availability. Due to the continuing referee shortage, referees wanting to only work as assistant referees may still be assigned to the center referee position.
BTT Memorial Day Classico does not pay referees cash on the field. All payments for referee services in this tournament will be made through the ArbiterPay service. Referees must have an ArbiterPay account in order to be paid.
Detailed instructions for creating an ArbiterPay account can be found at
