Game Day Protocol

The game day protocol for ISL, Rush Developmenta, BTT Youth, Outback, Eagle and Star leagues are slightly different. Please make sure you follow the correct game day protocol for your match. All Rush Developmental games have an “RS” prepended to the Level on your Arbiter schedule. BTT Youth games have a “BTT” prepended to the Level. BTT Competitive games have “BTT Comp” prepended to the Level. Outback games have “Outback” or “Outback-ISL” prepended to the Level. Star Parks & Rec games have “ST” prepended to the Level. Eagle Youth Soccer games have an “E” prepended to the Level. ISL and tournament games do not have anything prepended to the Level.

Game Day Protocol – All Leagues

  • Inspect the field for safety issues and proper markings.
  • Check that the goals are anchored securely and safely. Game should not start until the goals are safe.
  • Check-in both teams prior to the game.
  • Within 48 hours following the start of the game, the center referee must file the game report in Arbiter Sports.
    • Login to Arbiter; Click on “Schedule”;
    • Make sure “Show All” is selected in the Date drop-down filter;
    • Click on the red “R” (for report) on the line for your game;
    • Fill in the game score (double check for accuracy);
    • Add any required and additional comments. Please see the Game Report Example for how to properly fill out a game report;
    • Click “Save”.
  • Misconduct MUST be reported as follows;

Game Day Protocol – ISL (No prefix)

  • All players/coaches/bench personnel will have player cards. Cards can be in the form of actual laminated cards, picture roster or virtual (electronic) cards. If someone doesn’t have a card, let them play and write a note in the Comments section of the Arbiter game report.
  • Each team must provide you with a copy of their state-sanctioned pre-printed team roster. If there are any problems with a roster, please note that in the Comments section of your Arbiter game report.
  • You are REQUIRED to keep copies of all rosters until 2 weeks after the end of the season. ISL will ask for copies of some rosters each week.
  • A team may play with guest players. It is not the referee’s job to regulate the number of guest players a team uses. Guest players will have player cards same as rostered players (see above). In addition, all guest players must be listed on the team roster. There is a space provided on the team roster for guest players. You MUST note all guest players in the Comments section of your Arbiter game report.

Game Day Protocol – Rush Developmental (RS prefix)

  • No player cards are used.
  • Each team must provide you with a copy of their pre-printed team roster. Keep your copy of the roster in a safe place. If there are any problems with a roster, please note that in the Comments section of your Arbiter game report.
  • You are REQUIRED to keep copies of all rosters until 2 weeks after the end of the season.

Game Day Protocol – BTT Youth League (BTT prefix)

  • These games are played at the BTT Complex, Kuna, Eagle, and other locations.
  • Teams will not have rosters or player cards. DO NOT ask for either.

BTT Competitive League (BTT Comp prefix)

  • These games are played at the BTT Complex and Simplot.
  • Teams will not have rosters and player cards. DO NOT ask for either.

Game Day Protocol – Outback League (Outback or Outback-ISL prefix)

  • These games are played at various locations throughout the Treasure Valley including BTT Complex, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Meridian, Middleton and Star.
  • Each team must present you with a state-sanctioned roster. No player cards are used. If there are any issues with rosters, please make a note in the Comments section of your game report.

Game Day Protocol – Star Parks & Rec League (ST prefix)

  • Coming soon.

Game Day Protocol – Eagle Youth Soccer League (E prefix)

  • These games are played at the Guerber Park and Merrill Park.

Additional Game Day Protocol Notes

  • If you don’t file a game report or it is late, you will not be paid for the game.
  • If you do not show up for a game, you will not be paid. Further, you will immediately be dropped from the assignor’s list of referees eligible to receive assignments.
